SQL Developer(BI) (code : SM-BI) Open positions: 3
|
ROLE
|
- Reviews and evaluates requests to develop or modify reports and/or ETL
- Identifies data sources to fulfill ETL and/or report requests
- Develops or modifies ETL procedures to populate operational data stores, data warehouse and/or data marts
- Develops or tunes existing SQL ETL procedures
- Act as a liaison between the our internal customers (Marketing, Finance, CRM, Customer Care, Data Analysts and technology)
- Assist with the development/enhancement of the data warehouse architecture (ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes, Reports, BI Portal, Dashboards)
- Assist with the report development utilizing Ad hoc queries or MS Reporting Services
- Provide support for the data warehouse environment and determine root cause/corrective action on issues related to reports, ETL, and data requests
- Design and evaluate “Production Reports” utilization and recommend changes to improve performance
- Document code, procedures, architecture, and schema

REQUIRED SKILLS
|
- BE/B-Tech & above with 3+ Yrs of experience
- 3+ years in data warehousing with exposure to all the following and expertise in at least 1 of these areas: ETL, DW, Data Marts, Reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 3+ years experience in SQL Server 2000; current on SQL Server 2005
- Strong T-SQL knowledge developing complex cubes and stored procedures
- Experience utilizing SQL Server 2005, DTS, Integration Services (SSIS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience with at least one of the following Multidimensional-OLAP-Reporting tools: Microstrategy 8, MS Analysis Services, MS Reporting Services, Hyperion, OutlookSoft

ROLE

- Design, develop and deploy new site definitions and templates, master pages
- Contribute to the development of custom SharePoint platform capabilities and web parts according to functional and technical specifications
- Provide support and consultancy to end users, site owners and developers to provide product knowledge, education and referral to best practice knowledge base
- Identify innovative approaches to reduce effort intensive SharePoint operational tasks
- Contribute to self-service support and training materials, interactive training

- Should have Knowledge of InfoPath 2007 API and InfoPath Forms Services SharePoint Designer 2007, Share Point Workflow, Custom Work Flow (in SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, WCF & Visual Studio), Page Customization and Template creation/customization in SharePoint Designer.
- Third party web part creation tools SSRS/SSAS integration with SharePoint and related SSRS/SSAS & SharePoint API; Charting Web Parts; Performance Tuning
Other BI (Business Objects, Cognos, etc) integration with SharePoint.
- Excellent knowledge of design patterns and Best practices for SharePoint Development.
